    What is investment casting?

Traditionally referred to as the lost wax process, Investment Casting is actually one of the oldest metal-forming processes in human history.

From 5,000 years ago, when beeswax formed the pattern, to today's high-technology waxes, refractory materials and specialist alloys, the castings allow the production of components with accuracy, repeatability, versatility and integrity in a variety of metals and high-performance alloys that cannot be produced by normal manufacturing techniques.

Any components comprised of metals that are hard to machine or fabricate are great candidates for investment casting.

    Why choose investment casting?

    • High production rates, particularly for small or highly complex components
    • Extremely good surface finish with very little machining
    • Highly accurate and reliable form of casting
